Subject: NH3 to solution change over

SW Illinois
What would all be required to change our NH3 bar over to solution? Currently side dress every other row with NH3 using mole knives and closers. Have hiniker flow meter and VOD distributor for flow control.

Can the row unit be used to apply liquid?
Can the distributor handle liquid, or should that be swapped out?
Do the hydraulic pumps vary output to control product flow, or do they just pump product and product rate is control similar to NH3 systems?

In an ideal world, I would set up a 1600-2000 gallon trailer with a solution pump, and simply bypass the heat exchanger when using solution.

I've never use solution before, but the price this year makes it tempting as handling would be much easier and safer. I also don't want to spend a huge amount of money on a liquid unit that might not get used for another 5 years.
