Subject: Minnesota tiling regulations

SW MN
Bought a farm that is in need of tile. I am not entirely sure what I need to do before I start any work out there. Ask one guy and he says I never have asked anyone before I start a tile project. The next guy tells me I should contact nrcs or swcd to make sure I am good to go first. Other people talk about full blown permits. I am a little afraid to ask not because I am afraid I won't be allowed to, but because government moves slow and I have someone who can get it tiled in 2-3 weeks from now. Also hate to ask people I am not required to ask.

Bit of background. Papers and map from fsa say no wetlands on the property. There is already a small amount of tile on the farm. All tile would be private with a private outlet that eventually works its way to a river in a half mile.

Thanks for looking.
