SESD | Was wondering if anyone had experience with a lease termination of a farm less than 40ac? Does SDCL 43-32-22.1 pertain to farms under 40ac as well? Long story short have a 35 ac field that was corn. Immediately after harvest (that night) the stalks were chisel plowed. Not by me. Was planning on baling stalks. Tried contacting landlord via phone call and text with no answer. Was never contacted about anything. Not upset about not farming it next year but the stalks were already spoken for. Now I'm a little irritated. What kind of recourse do I have? Side note: I've been farming it for the last 11 yrs. As far as I know no bad blood. Thanks for your input. | |
