Your going to need a JD Flow control valve as I have the 8100 tractor on a 1780, that being said I need to adjust that flow between running the E-set to changing to the been disc's. Your 7140 I believe only has 22 gal/min hyd pump vs 8100 at 30 gal & my 16 row lifts slow but I have no PTO Pump & use 3 valves on the tractor. Be better for Me if I had a 42 gal/min Tractor.
