Near-north Ontario, French River		Maybe probate is different here in Ontario but after having gone through it with my brothers estate ( my sis and I were executors) its was a pretty painless and straightforward process. Maybe it helped that the only debt he had was a a vehicle loan with a small interest free balance. Essentially spent a couple hours with lawyers listing assets etc… filing the paperwork and then waiting for it to be approved. Granted our lawyers did all the filings but I don’t think we had 10-12hrs invested, mostly spent looking up equipment values, listing bank accounts etc. Going in I expected it to be a nightmare , but when it was done it was really nothing to lose sleep over. Biggest issue was delays in the approvals due to Covid backlogs.
