I've been in the pawn stars pawn shop. It is nothing like you see on TV. The place is tiny. The small amount of things that were on display would fit in a few small boxes. There was nothing of interest like you see on the show. There was a ring there with a $30,000 dollar price tag that didn't look as nice as a $3,000 one at a jewelry store. To me the rest was mostly junk.
The place is only open 8 hours a day to walk in. There was a line to get in, they only allow about 8 people at a time inside. They move through quickly, most people are disappointed and with not much to see they don't stay long. The other 16 hours a day they are open, but only a walk up window. The characters you see on TV are only there for filming. The rest of the time it is staffed by what looks like drug addicts that fell into a tackle box.

I haven't been in a pawn shop in 30 years but you described every one I've been in. Over priced junk that I wouldn't take if it was free |
