coast of Maine | Iowabeef,I think many are focusing on the cost/buy issue which you state is the easy part.I am 15 years older than you.We have bought 2 pieces in the last 2 years.The doubt about the future has been on my mind for about 5 years.Very glad your wife is getting well.You having 2 kids still in first grade ,,you will be my age when they clear the nest.Im thinking you are still in the noon time of life.There are many decisions coming with your family as they grow.Perhaps the youngest will be the drivers of your operation some day.I will most likely not have my children return as they are all professionals earning way more and with 10x the time off as ag,,this will twist your mind on growth if this happens.After a few "could have been dead" issues for myself we have decided to squeak out 2 months off in winter at our southern swamp house..Then gradually move it to longer.Then still keep growing.This I found so far do able.It is tough to leave others in charge but you can for a while to gain quality time for you and your wife and still grow. | |
