Subject: Update on Duetz 7085 Electrical issue

Ross County, Ohio
A few months ago I posted about a couple electrical issues I was having with my 1990 7085. I've been down with stubborn sinus issues since late January, so was just doing the must do things the entire time. Who knew they could put you down like that? After I found the right doctor last week, I'm finally starting to feel like moving. I was having issues with the warning/indicator lights and fuel gauge as well as head and work lights. I had a new fuse block installed by a local guy last year. It was bad and I couldn't keep fuses in it for the last year. Yesterday, I took a look at it and discovered a few things. First, there were connectors that weren't quite making a connection on the instrument panel. I had started to do a continuity check when the first plug came off way too easy. I found three loose. Remedied the indicator lights.
Second , discovered the work lights and headlights were plugged into the opposing set of lights switch, thus the head lights won't shut off. Still trying get one plug off to switch them out. It's a little frustrating, but at least its a huge issue. I'm not going to trash anyone over it. Mistakes happen, but I do think someone should have double checked their work. Then again, I'm guilty of more than my share of mistakes.
