| Do you think your two oldest will want to farm. If either or both seem cut out to farm, buy it. You are already operating it so there won't be any change to your operation. The only difference will be you will be making farm payments instead of rent payments. If they are not likely to want to farm then you need to think about it more. It sounds like your wife was a farmer also. After the health issue a lot may change. If the kids aren't going to take up some of the farm responsibilities, it may be time to slow down a bit and it's never wrong to spend a more quality time with your wife. You never know how much time you have left.
