west central Iowa
Lots of good suggestions. I was thinking thumbs up to the guys that said 383 with stand alone efi. But then someone else said efi 250 six cylinder and that sounded really interesting. Only thing better would be a turbocharged 292 six cylinder like I saw in a 66 pickup on one of those performance car TV shows. It really sounded great.
I could have bought a 58 Chevy step side with the wide back window when I was 16 in 1977 for $1000. It had a strong 327 and Muncie four speed from a car. Dad said no and it was probably a good thing.
