Ha! I was wondering if that was holding something in. And yes, it was, all the racket!!!! Hey, at least it’s working and I appreciate it. I thick tomorrow I’ll take the tape off and perhaps silicone the speaker holes, then retape.
The noise doesn't come out the front of the box, it comes out the bottom. If you want to make a difference, use the duct tape to secure a cotton glove over the round thing on the bottom of the box.
And no, I'm not kidding that there isn't any volume adjustment.
The thing in the picture that is circled in red is the noise maker.
