NE SD | 4wd won't ride as nice, although the newer ones with a suspended front axle will probably help. I planted with a 9400 and then a 9230 for years. Never saw the autosteer issues others are talking about. I used the same tractor to sidedress the corn at speeds up to 11-12 mph. I now use a 9570RX because we wanted another big tillage tractor on the farm. In 2021 we bought an 8345R to pull a bean planter. With the front suspension it rides extremely nice, and it with the weights, it weighs more than the 9230 did. However, it doesn't command the planter around like a 4wd would in wet conditions or hills IMO.
We have a 1300bu tracked cart and have pulled it with the 9230, 8345r, and 500 quad. Preferred tractor is the 500 quad. You can see over the side of trucks rather than depending on a camera, and just better visibility to begin with. The other two just didn't have the get-up and go like a big tractor does. I haven't spent much time shopping lately, but a 350+ hp FWA usually has an asking price similar to a 450hp 4wd. Kind of hard to ignore that you can get a much more capable tractor for the money.
