east central iowa | couldn't that field be handled like a blowing field in Kansas wheat Country. where you get a chisel plow and take off all the shanks except for 1 to 3 of them. you just make a small raised berm and it greatly reduces the blowing soil. in college 40 years ago a wheat farmer I helped in Kansas called on a Sunday at noon. he never worked on Sunday but his farm was blowing away so the ox was in the ditch so to speak. it worked. | |
