how is that possible that the tax cuts created the issue.

The IRS actually collected more tax dollars after the tax cuts. you realize that people respond to incentives.

IE people adjust their behavior based upon what is being taxed or not taxed.

THE CBO which is most likely where you got your information doesn't assume any human reactions to changes in tax policy.

The issue for the deficit is not one of ingo Its a problem of outgo. Its always been a problem of outgo and their is no one in Washington DC that cares enough to fix it because we reelect the same fools to congress year over year in just the last election of 2024 the incumbent won 97% of their elections. Until we the people stop doing this nothing changes.
