i assure you that feeling is one sided. canada runs a $3 billion trade deficit with china and a $3 billion trade deficit with mexico. when it comes to the US they run a $60 billion trade SURPLUS, yet they hate us for just bringing that to attention.
it`s too bad, the last few years i`ve been to Ontario, Calgary, Banff, Saskatoon, Edmonton and probably had some of my best times. my daughter in law is from Ontario and i love the canadian people... i`m hooked on tim hortons coffee! :-) but i doubt i`ll be returning anytime soon, because of the chance i might be treated rudely if they find out i`m a yank and that wouldn`t be enjoyable.
just seems to me everyone needs to take a chill pill (non fentanyl) and we need to talk it over with some good tim hortons coffee :-)
The trade deficit isn’t that simple. We are at an even trade if you take out oil. But you want all the oil you can get from us. So what do you want us to do? We are pumping oil south like never before. Sounds like trump wants to buy potash from Russia now so maybe he can find some oil over there too. Him and Putin seem to be real good friends.
I think Canadians are just sick of all the incorrect facts about all the trade that our 2 countries do together. |
