se montana | I purchased the Texas fence fixer and after 2 years I retired it, Seems the rotted rusty barb wire on this place would break sometime after i made the “stretch” repair. I found lots of broken spots where the Texas fixer was after a year. Plus it was slow and cumbersome to me.
The Jake’s tighteners are cool . I’m using a lot of them. Even old rusty wire is working pretty well, but I’m also only 2 years in on that habit,
Definitely buy their tool, my homemade tools didn’t work very good,
I bought the Amazon generic copy cat tighteners and they were super light , they crushed and collapsed before the wire was tight,
The 1/4 Jake’s are working fine for me, I wish they were cheaper , I’ve been buying quite large quantities.
