Townsend, Montana | Finished '24 strong with a total of just shy of 5" of rain all year. Didn't get much snow. Haven't had a single rain yet in '25. She be dry.
But all is not lost. When I shut the wells off last fall, they recovered to the level I started them at in the spring in less than 15 minutes. Next day they were 5 to 10 feet higher. This was after running for 120 days non stop.
Crops were good, but the power costs sure ate into what little profit there was. Power company sure likes me.
Dryland was a bust.
