Subject: Sensitive toes

Earlville, NY
About 3 1/2 years ago, I was running some electric wire in rafters of heifer barn, my feet were a little sore afterwards. Over next few months pain remained, gradually worsening and moving up backs if legs, definitely felt like nerve issue. Eventually saw a podiatrist and eventually got custom orthotics. The nerve like pain in backs of legs and hip went away fairly quick. However, developed a feeling best described as like having socks bunched up under toes with shoes on; doesn't hurt but annoying and a little uncomfortable. Its the same in both feet, whereas the severe pain before was much more on one side. Podiatrist and I have tried several things; different shoe size, toe cushions, toe inserts, thicker socks etc, nothing makes any difference. Toes and feet look normal but still don't feel right. Toes are slightly numb and tingly too, again not uncomfortable but annoying. My toes are also super sensitive, any little bump into something hurts like heck! When my shoes are on they actually feel a little better. I've found nothing in looking online that seems to resemble my minor issue, only major problems are what I find.

I have no corns, bunions etc. Some minor calluses and dry feet that I've had for decades. No ingrown nails. My toes tend to curl under a little but nothing nearly as bad as pictures I've seen. I'm wondering if it's a circulation issue and I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I don't seem to have any of the factors or symptoms associated with circulation trouble either. I have HBP that I've lived with since my '20's and remains about normal with meds, very low cholesterol and lipids, normal bloodwork numbers, never smoked, only really drank in college and early twenties. I'm 53, 5' 10", 205. Just got sore feet one day and they've been poor since. I plan on asking GP again, but was hoping to get some other's opinions or thoughts. Annoying and driving me nuts some days. Thanks everyone.
