What about SK brand, we have one farm supply store that has these, they seem awfully expensive, are they American made?
The only place that handles SK anywhere close by to me is Grainger. Pain in the butt to try and get a ratchet warrantied. I’ve managed to get it done a few times but they sure acted like they didn’t want to mess with it.
Craftsman is the same way. The last thing I had break was a 1/2” breaker bar. Had to go to Lowe’s and they asked me if I had the receipt. Of course not. I had to “buy” a new one then immediately return it for my money back then they had the paper trail they needed and handed me the new breaker bar. Weird setup. Didn’t care for it. Wouldn’t buy anything Craftsman again and I’ve got tons of it now from 30+ years ago.
I wish Blackhawk was still around as a full line company. I hoard every Blackhawk tool I find. Kind of a sentimental thing to me I guess. I know some things are available as Blackhawk by Stanley but it’s just not the same. |
