Near-north Ontario, French River | Kevin, I dont recall if you are diabetic or not but if so watch your sugar closely as it will cause you sugar to spike , may have to adjust diabetic meds. Having said that you are on a low dose so I wouldnt expect any major side affects. Mom was put on a high dose( 40mg if I remember right) when colitis hit her last January. Biggest side effect was on her sugar, she's been diabetic for 30yrs , always able to control in with pills and diet. Her sugar got so far out of whack she was taking insulin 3 times a day to keep it under control... and for an 86yr old widow, who had never taken insulin before it caused her a lot of stress and worry. Thankfully they weaned her off the prednisone over the course of 5 months and her sugar levels came back down to her normal levels. |
