Well, I can contribute something from a long term prednisone taker. My mom was on it for over 30 years. It was a low dose, I think she was on a 2.5 mg dose. Once in awhile she would have a bad flare up of her arthritis and they would increase it and slowly lower the dose back down. She lived to be 98. Hope it can help you.
Thank you ...Around New Yrs. I struggled to climb stairs ,put on socks,ect.if I sat very long. (more I walked/worked better I could move)
Started Thursday morning, 3 pills going down to 1 slowly... Stopped taking Robax or Tylenol Arthritis as needed it for pain/sleep
Went from feeling like old guys who milked cows for 50 yrs. to a active senior
