West Central Illinois | I’ve found it makes it much easier separating cash from futures sales.
Not saying we always get it right, but new crop sales are usually hedged with basis set later.
On a side note, I was surprised to see your crazy wide basis. I thought ethanol and bean crushers had built in all those areas and improved it.
In fact I often hear basis in western areas that beats ours. And historically Illinois had the best combination of yields and basis. Not always true today.
