I am in a super high white mold area. I used to have a 20" planter. I did several side by sides in same field over several different years and I saw little yield difference and some years no difference. Yes the 20s do shade ground quicker but I still had to spray the same time. I will guess with 20s you will see 1-3 bushel gain average over 5 years. However white mold does show up more imo with 20" rows. I no longer have the 20" planter and have went to all 30s and also spray them with endura fungicide. Its just not worth the risk. I know how badly white mold can affect yields.
