North Central Iowa | As far as extending curved guidance lines past the original "ends", I thinks so, for at least a bit. But I can't really say that definitively. Most of the curved guidance lines I've used (and only a few) tend to transition into a straight A-B line I switch to. That being said, if creating a curved guidance line, why wouldn't you create it all the way to the fence? I say that, but as I think about it, the few I have were all created/edited in SMS so I could extend to wherever I wanted them. Either way, I'm pretty sure it doesn't extend a line a huge distance like a straight A-B does.
On the "group" feature, I haven't worked with that yet. I have a feeling that since I didn't specifically save/group all the lines I loaded to use in a particular field, I will have to reload them again for 2025. I thought that was the idea of a "group", was that one could then load the entire group of guidance lines for the next use/year. Still on the learning curve for some of this as 2024 was the first year planting and spraying with the Incommand 1200.
Hopefully someone else will chime in with more experience on used curved guidance and the "group" capabilities. That is one quibble, I think Ag Leader could do a better job truly documenting some of their features in the manual. Unfortunately, I'm suspicious this is a general problem for recent guidance systems. | |
