Beaverton, Ontario | I hear ya about the shortcomings of Ag Leader, I dont use implement guidance now but it would be nice to have passive implement guidance with just a second receiver on the implement. I'm not sure if Trimble has changed but I think with the FMX's you had to pay for all the unlocks again on the second receiver which is cost prohibitive. I believe from what I've heard Deere only requires the main receiver to be RTK so that makes it a lot more cost effective. I can't see why Ag Leader can't come up with a similar solution to Deere.
How do you manage your headland guidance with Ag Leader, do you use the smartpath off the boundary or have individual lines for each side of the field? Here we have a lot of odd shaped fields with a combination of curves and straight edges that are not perfectly straight due to trees, etc. Having one headland guidance line to select but still square off corners was a nice feature on the FMX's
