Wisconsin | The panels cost something like $200,000, the racks, wiring etc. probably that much more. The cost of the land is almost irrelevant, and that's why they don't put them on roofs, cheaper to put them on the ground.
Good ole Jimmy Carter put solar panels on the white house (hot water I believe), Reagan is credited with removing them, one story is it was a re roof project, obviously they were not worth putting back up economically, roof top solar rarely is. | |
