Absolutely disk or vt first for slug control, with drill or planter.
I have planted 2 years with 15” 750 drill 2 years with 30” shoup brush meters. 30” has yielded 5-10 bushels better so I’m sticking with 30”.
Cornell says narrower rows are better, my neighbor has excellent yields with 15” drilled, idk. Maybe split the field and try each for yourself see what happens
