Subject: RE: Profit gmo vs. non-gmo soys

Southeast South Dakota
The weeds are getting harder to control here, especially with our variable weather patterns the last 7 years or so. It starting to be a big concern, however I am still raising nongmo.

The biggest problem for me is premiums are starting to dwindle and freight is getting high enough that it’s almost not worth it. And I own the trucks. Most of our non GMO markets are 100+ miles away. Buyers call and the cost of carry now also chisel away at the premiums as well.

Lastly, seems to me seed costs are out of line as well with the conventional vs the traited products. Spread has been 5-10 dollars difference here.
