They will also call your bank and ask them to sign a lien subordination agreement, if you still have a mortgage. Also if you wanted to use paid for ground as collateral to purchase additional acreage, it will be like pulling teeth to get them to release the lien.
I had a landowner with 160 acres that included his home in the deed that was signed up for solar. He passed away and the family decided to sell the home and 5 acres. The solar company drug their feet about releasing the lien in order for the family to sell it. Major PIA. The project ended up not happening after 5 years.
