Northeast, Nebraska | I bought my 2014 s660 new and still run it today. I wish I would have bought the s670. Ours has the extended wear package and the one on the s660 is not as heavy as the S670. Didn't realize that until I went to see something on the neighbors at the time. I get a lot of wear on mine, but I run a lot of bushels through it every season. over 300,000 in 2024. it has 1600 sep hours and everything wear related has been replaced once and some augers twice already. I'd like to upgrade but so far it is just more economical to keep putting money into this one. I get it inspected every year and usually put 10 to 20000 a year into it. This last year was pretty lucky, it only cost me 6500 parts and labor. Had a lot of issues with machine the first 3 seasons we had it but have them pretty much all worked out now. I do know the grain tank vertical auger is heavier on the s670 if it has the extended wear package. To my knowledge there isn't a way to get that put in to my machine. After I wore my vertical out the first season, I hard surfaced the new one and now i can get 3 to 4 seasons out of them. I would do that to any combine I purchase from now on because it is amazing how much wear that saves you | |
