Subject: twin row soybeans ?

North Carolina
Been think of ways to trim some costs and maintain yields on beans. One way I was thinking of doing this was planting two 15"rows then 30"space row pattern. Then setting up a way to apply fertilizer between the 15" rows. I'm thinking I could trim 25% off seed and fertilizer. I know all spray costs would be the same. My thinking is with the light interception on beans would increase pods on less plants. what do y'all think?
