Subject: RE: switching pioneer to brevant

Northeast, Nebraska
When I told my Pioneer dealer that I was going to plant hogemeyer instead of his pioneer this fall when I was pricing seed, The dealer just told me that hogemeyer seed was seed that wasn't good enough for pioneer to put in their bags. I told him "well, that just goes to show how bad pioneer is at picking their hybrids as the hogemeyer outyielded the pioneer this year" and I left. Then he called about a month later to tell me that pioneer was going to give him some more money for a discount for me if I increased my pioneer order from last year. I told him I ordered my hogemeyer that same afternoon when he said that hogemeyer was subpar to pioneer. I also said he could try again next year but it better be my cheapest seed that I price if I am going to buy it again. I buy seed from 5 different companies just because I know some have good years and some don't. It all averages out
