Subject: RE: Floating residue managers vs Pin adjust

Funny story. I ran pin adjust Yetters that could be pinned solid on one side or floated on the other for 15 years. No treader wheels. Just set them where they moved clumps and clods. Never lost a minute of planting because of row cleaners for 15 years. Everyone on here brags on Martin stuff and I bought a newer planter last year with a set of Martin floaters with treader wheels. I was so excited. I rebuilt them and put a bunch of money into them. What a disaster. You could not pay me to ever run a set of Martins again. Between the umo 100’s and the row cleaners I worked on the planter as much as I planted. Ended up dribbling my starter and took the row cleaners completely off before I finished. Honestly the attachments were a large contributing factor on why that planter is 3 states away now.

I’ll give you one guess on what row cleaners I just drug home off Facebook marketplace. I bought 16 of them for 1000 dollars. Let those guys keep their Martin stuff.
