a lot more news coverage and anguish about the murdered health CEO than all the innocent children's school deaths

And i think it is concerning that so many post and encourage killing others whether they think they are bad or not.

Seems to me the only protection from guns in a society that worships them is to change the attitude and reduce the number that are
available

Only purpose a gun has is to kill or maim and more guns only mean more deaths and injuries.

As for protection of a new school there is no end.
Could put a machine gun monitored gate out from with a couple guards that strip searched everyone entering and then some one would bring an armoured vehicle

It is the attitude about guns themselves that needs to change.
Note the recent shooting at a religious school was by a girl who had gun training

Interesting as guns have been a part of this country since the beginning so close to 250 years now. Semi-auto guns for over 100 years. Yet school shootings have only really become a phenomenon in the last 30 years. If I am understanding you, guns are the issue. The only purpose a gun has is to kill? Pretty limited in your thought process IMO.

Guns are tools and like any tool can be abused. Is that the fault of the gun? Cars are tools and cars have killed people. So given your thought process I am guessing we will see a proposal for auto reductions coming from you. You can not deny that the USA worships their cars, maybe as much or more than their guns so be a little careful how you bring it up. Airplanes can be used to kill people as we discovered on 911.

Three different objects that can be used to kill people yes but do they if they are used as designed? Yet what is common in all three sittuations, PEOPLE.

Maybe we should be looking at what has been changing in people in the last 40 years or so and maybe we could start getting to the root of the problem.

I thought from you claims that evolution was supposed to improve things as we move forward. Social evolution I am not sure got that memo as it seems to be going down hill pretty fast. Care to share your thoughts?
