| Stick with something mechanical. Iv got a W900a with a big cam Cummins in it and we love it. Haul anything from silage to hay with it. Truck has 4.7 million miles on it. Those big cams are reliable, simple and super cheap to work on. Last Inframe we did was 9500. And running those old trucks your the coolest guy on the road. Even the 379 guys wish they were you.
Definitely stay away from anything with a CAT in it. Expensive to work on and not the most simple of design. They are relatively reliable tho. But for the extra money to purchase one I don’t think it’s worth it. We have a B model cat in a 359 peterbilt and iv had it apart twice in the past 3 years. I want to rip it out and put a big cam in it. | |
