Texas
Yes fellows , I am a brother , yes im a volunteer firefighter . Sons got his EMT patch now . Yes I did martial arts for years , yes I was a farmer, more of a rancher now . Yes I did many years at JB hunt as a mechanic and trainer , was part time supervisor when the signals got crossed and no full time supervisor showed up .
Yes I also did paint body work at my shop as well as at JB . I did not do any military, I never said I did . I did do a custom combine crew in TX running a 650 cart catching grain off 2 - 1480”s . Pulled cart with a new 5288 . That was a lot of fun for a young man . Always will regret never not doing military or full time fire .

Grandad was old then , farm would not survive without me
I sacrificed and stayed .Marine guy came to high school and I wanted to join , grandad said I can’t hold this together without you . I stayed and I’d say no regrets for my decision. After grandad passed I wanted to do fire , but I would have been too old after the school was over .

Yes I might push my son too hard to fire / EMT . He’s doing very well . He wants to do it real bad . Yep I might have started the deal , but he grabbed on and went far .

My son has 2 passions 1- family , 2 -fire . He does like the ranch and is good on a tractor . It’s not his passion like fire is .
