My opinion is they crank too slow. Put a set of jumpers on or a booster pack before you try it a bunch and drain the battery and they will start way better. Just not big enough cables and enough amps getting to the starter. Also emissions controls make them start differently than the previous models. Sure makes a customer angry to have a bunch of 6430’s for snow removal that can start at -15C without plugged in, then upgrades to 6R that won’t start at 0C. Like, they didn’t even own extension cords to plug in the 6430’s, and now you need a row of outlets installed for 20 tractors.
