Loggers do it all the time. A 200 excavator can easily tear the brace roots off and pull the stump. Beats trying to operate a boom machine under branches breaking hydraulic fitting etc. Never could understand taking a tree down with excavator, do you pull it down on top of machine. Pushing is not not their strong point.
