I think the 40% raise is not exactly true. But anyway....if they want a pay raise, let them do a stand alone bill to raise it even if it is only 3 or 6k. Do a separate bill on all this spending. Daylight is the only way things get fixed.
It was not a 40% pay raise, it was a 40% raise in pay and benefits. Remember a while back when Congress had to be in Obamacare, just like the rest of us peasants? The bill that got killed would have put them back on the gold plated, diamond encrusted health plans they had before Obamacare. |
