Not an exact comparison but went with a 7290r instead of a comparable 8r and regret it. The slightly shorter length doesn't really matter to shed space but does make for a rougher ride, reduced 3pt capacity, etc. Don't let the frame size scare you for the better tractor unless you're going to put a loader on it. Go 8100.
