Why should Americans pay just 6% of their income for food while everyone else is 10-20%?


After the high inflation of the past three years I doubt it is 6% anymore.
Eating out has more than doubled and grocery prices are up significantly.
Our government was never intended to subsidize every business in the nation but yet that is what is happening.
If you can't make a living without government support then (IMO) the nation is failing.

You’ve never eaten without government support. I’ll be fine. The economy and the poor won’t. Would love to get $7.45 for my corn and $15 for wheat. Hell, I’ll start milking cows and raising bees when the cheese milk and honey prices triple.
