On another note....what have you learned from the "invaluable" file on NCGA champs? Maybe put in irrigation everywhere?
Sorry about that. I kinda went off topic. Not bashing you, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you be a jerk of any kind to other Agtalkers.
I guess it’s an observation of a history of threads on this topic. It’s like some people get mad about it for some reason. Lol
So the big thing I always remember hearing them say is “Never let your corn have a bad day” which sounds dumb but to me it means taking care of a problem right away. Could be bugs, could be diseases or weeds. I’ll be the first to admit I’ve screwed up waiting to long to get weeds and disease under control. Chit happens, tractors break, sprayers break down at the WORST TIMES. lol
I would also point out those guys have said many times that you can’t just go and dump thousands of pounds of fertilizer on your corn or beans and bam you have a yield breaker. Those guys walk those plots every single day and try to learn something about the crops.
