Kalona, IA

I got taken by AgTalk Classifieds this summer. Was a PP version III monitor etc. Only 1 picture and priced at $3500 . Enuf red flags that I should've listened to my intuition. We corresponded by text and email and I even paid an extra $80 for shipping! I asked what tractor and why he was selling and he said tractor and planter going back on lease , so he was selling monitor. Gave his "wife's" bank acct. No. and I transferred $$ electronically and then he tried claiming that the bank claimed it was a suspected fraud transfer and they wouldn't release $ to him and he wanted a Paypal transfer. I said the $$ is out of my acct. so he got it and to send it! I did call his number and he answered and it was a southern black voice and very garbled and hard to understand connection. I googled his address and it was a town in TN or AR . I couldn't ever get another response from him, and NO monitor. Felt stupid that I fell for it. I have done many transaction on Agtalk Classifieds but am getting more leery about it. If it seems too cheap, there's probably a reason. I was a SUCKER and bank said there's nothing I can do other than contact police. I figured they probably were busy enough without chasing a Fraudster!! Lesson learned!
