But w does make accurate points about why farming has tough seasons. Just cause no one wants to hear it doesn’t make it untrue.
The competitive nature of farmers bids a lot of potential margin into land cost. That’s just a fact. And you can’t be a farmer without a land base. So there’s no ’solution’ like a few were asking him for. It just is what it is.
Equipment costs are a whole nother beast. Balance sheet valuation of equipment on a per acre basis compared to the past has to be mind boggling for some operations. The logic behind the economic value of timeliness in relation to the cost of the newer larger machine tips the scales in a lot of instances towards being grossly over equipped.
