NW Iowa
E we have a half grown kitten the house. Born in August in our barn and was abandoned at about three weeks old. It’s a cute calico and was outside the barn crying so I brought it to the house with the intention of getting it on solid food and adopting it out. After a week my wife told me it’s staying so now we have a house cat. I like yogurt and i get it in those small expensive cups. After the noon meal i will grab a yogurt and head for the recliner. The kitten figured out there was a warm lap to nap on after i sat down so it would climb up my pants leg and curl up on my lap. I would be eating my yogurt about then so i scraped out the very last of the yogurt with the spoon and held it down for the kitten to sample. She very cautiously sniffed it over and then licked it up. It didn’t take long for this to become a ritual. Now that she is older she doesn’t jump up on my lap as often but if i want her to come for her treat all i have to do is rattle the spoon in the cup and she will be on my lap real quick. And after doing this for three months she still has to sniff it over before she licks it off the spoon.
