Subject: RE: COP 2025

North Central Indiana
Honestly I don’t hate your numbers here. I’m showing a little higher but without knowing specifics, yield goal, weed pressure, seed varieties, etc it’s not far off.
Corn
I’m showing $94 an acre nongmo at 33k average pop
NH3,P,K,S,Zn and fungicide I’m at $160
Chemicals I can be right at $60 if the weather is right
Fuel projects at $21.30

Insurance is where you really seem to be dreaming. Unless you have nothing insured, minimal umbrella policy, minimum crop insurance but I can’t believe that. Tax also looks low but maybe your state has low property taxes, my property taxes literally come out to $50/acre of owned land. Gets better if you spread it onto rented land but I don’t do it that way.

Actual maintenance for 24 was $30/ac which was higher than our last few years but that’s a real cost

So I think you’re mostly realistic, slightly optimistic on the numbers but you’re missing some important other numbers that we all know you have but aren’t including just to stir the pot. My guess is that’s your goal so well done, pot stirred
