You have no machinery cost, no land cost (not even taxes for owned free and clear land), no personal living cost
Never understood why people add personal expenses in, if you or a spouse had a job to cover living expenses, the farm won't have to cover them. That's good time management.
My wife and I both have jobs, those jobs pay taxes, land expenses, and living expenses. Allows a farm to run much leaner.
I don’t have time for a job, so unless we are going to be homeless and starving, the farm better cover those expenses.
Sounds like your farming too much. People here love to point out how others lose money. Ask yourself, if you quit farming and got a job, would you have more or less money in your pocket? Would you have more or less time to spend with family? If you devoted 4 hours a day, 20 hours a week to a part time job that pays $20/hour you'd be making 20K MORE a year. That will easily cover groceries and more.
You also didn't mention a spouse, I assume they stay at home without a job too, why?
Edit for spelling, dang autocorrect!!!
