Subject: RE: Some Scenery Today

North of London
We used to have natural ice to skate on during Christmas holidays most years when I was young.
It used to be something to talk about when we got a January thaw then. Often only 1 day barely above freezing.

Around here that has not been true lately
i used to make a rink in back yard for kids when they were young
Tried a couple times when first grandkids were old enough to start skating.
For grandkids rinks never lasted long enough for more then 1 or 2 days of skating.
We seem to get some cold weather and some snow then mild and melts it so we don't build up the big snow banks like we used to.
Always get several days above freezing in January anymore.
Long range forecast looks like above 0 on New Years day coming up so will have our January thaw to start the year.

And I filled fuel tanks last week, just in case, since they were both low.
A few snowy days and the diesel on the snow blower can eat it up quickly
