. | Yesterday was a bumped up visit to the oncologist due to the weekend scan results. Dropping the current treatment which involves very pricey daily pills and infusion every 3 weeks for a different infusion every 3 weeks. It was just approved in May of 2024 for colon cancer and like the prior treatment is targeted at the Her2 breast cancer gene that they've discovered can be found in certain colon cancers like mine. What a year it's been. From chemo through March, a clean bill of health in April, hernia surgery that revealed more cancer, prognosis of 6-8 months. Then treatments that could extend my life a year. And now this stuff may extended life 2 years. Just a roller coaster all year!
A couple of pictures from yesterday as well as my random ones.
