Of course not, same as charging a battery, there is always some transfer of energy to another type. "Law of Conservation of Energy" It would simply be used to store energy, but you would transfer some of that as heat loss on the pump motor, friction of the impeller in the water, resistance of the pump motor wiring, etc.
